Staff

Dr Ken King – Chief Executive Officer

Appointed 13th September 2010

Extended from 1st July 2011

I am delighted to return to the role of Chief Executive Officer with the Gladstone Economic and Industry Development Board (GEIDB) a position that I occupied for three years from 2003 to 2006  and then again briefly in September and October 2008.  As many of you may be aware I bring some 19 years of Queensland Government experience to the role with a significant focus during that time on trade and investment, regional economic development and major project facilitation.

My role with the GEIDB will continue to maintain focus on the facilitation of large scale industrial development within the Gladstone State Development Area (GSDA) and the Gladstone Region by providing local leadership, coordination and a range of assistance for current proponents and new industry enquiries.  Ongoing community engagement and consultation is a key strategic priority of the GEIDB.  I am pleased to be back and I welcome your comments and contributions to support the GEIDB’s vision to establish the Gladstone Region as Australia’s model 21st century industrial location.
