Overview

Gladstone is a modern urbanised city in Central Queensland located on eastern seaboard of Australia, some 550kms by road north of Brisbane and 100kms south-east of Rockhampton.

Gladstone makes a significant contribution to Queensland and the Australian economy. The region currently generates some 29% of Queensland’s exports by tonnage carried by sea in 2005-2006 which is 20% of Queensland's exports by value and 4.7% of Australia's export value.  It is Queensland’s major industrial location with established world class infrastructure and linkages to international markets by sea, land and air.

Gladstone has been independently benchmarked as one of the world’s top investment locations for large scale minerals and metals processing industries. Links for current statistics are listed below:

Gladstone is the ideal investment location for large scale projects of national and international significance, as evidenced by the major international resource processing and light metal industries that have chosen to establish within the region.

The availability of industrial land, a deep-water port, competitively priced energy, access to water, gas and other raw materials, along with effective existing and planned infrastructure, make Gladstone your strategic and logical choice for industry investment.
