Board website showcases the Gladstone Region’s competitive advantages
The Gladstone Economic & Industry Development Board is the Queensland Government authority established to facilitate investment attraction and project development for the Gladstone State Development Area and the Gladstone Region.
The Board has recently redeveloped its website to showcase the Gladstone Region’s competitive advantages for industry investment. The region’s key advantages include:
a world class deep water port and efficient transport links;
the availability of designated industrial land;
a cost competitive location with world class industry infrastructure;
access to energy, water & raw materials;
a strong industry support sector;
skilled labour & access to first class training;
an innovative culture with excellent R&D infrastructure;an open & efficient regulatory environment with streamlined approvals process;
low sovereign risk & strong government support; and
a welcoming, can-do community attitude and quality of life.
The redeveloped website brings together relevant links to industry, infrastructure providers and government to allow businesses, investors, developers, residents and visitors to access current industry activity and overview proposed development in the region.
Multimedia images on the website identify existing industry and promote Gladstone, Australia as the Global Location of Choice for major industry investment.
A launch of the website will be held in Gladstone on Thursday 29 September 2005 as part of Gladstone Area and Promotion Development Limited’s Annual General Meeting.
