Gladstone Economic & Industry Development Board appoint board members for new term

On 16 December 2004 the Queensland Governor in Council approved the appointment of members of the Gladstone Economic & Industry Development Board for a term of three years from 1 January 2005 to 31 December 2007. The appointments were notified in the Queensland Government Gazette on 17 December 2004 and were made under the State Development and Public Works Organisation Act 1971.

The members of the Board are Mr Leo Zussino, General Manager, Central Queensland Ports Authority to be the Chairperson of the Board; Mr Denis Cook, Deputy Coordinator-General, the delegate of the Coordinator-General, to be the Deputy Chairperson of the Board; Mr Peter William Bruton; Ms Judith Lillian Reynolds; Ms Kim Dianna Broadfoot; Associate Professor Robert John Prater; General Manager, Gladstone Area Promotion and Development Limited; Director Gladstone State Development and Innovation Centre; Chief Executive Officer, Gladstone Area Water Board; Group General Manager, Network Access, Queensland Rail and one nominee (being either the Mayor or Chief Executive Officer) from each of Gladstone City Council and Calliope Shire Council.

The Board’s first meeting for 2005 is scheduled for late February.
